One month ago today we had a great celebration in our house known as the Potty Party. This was the day we set aside to let Robby began an adventure to becoming a big boy. I had read this book "How to Potty train in a day" and we decided to try and follow this Potty Training method. The book was great....mostly to help me be mentally prepared and it includes quizes to take to see if you and your child are ready. I started researching about 3 months ago when Robby was really showing signs that he was ready, but decided to wait until the move and Christmas were over. We spent the first part of the morning training Paul...this is an anatomically correct doll that pees! Robby really enjoyed training Paul and after lunch and a nap we put big boy underwear on Robby and that night threw all of his diapers"away." The day is filled with Party games, reading potty books, watching potty videos, and having two parties one for Paul when he is trained and one for Robby at the end of the day. Robby had a great day and Brian and I were exhausted, but Robby seemed receptive. Anyway...one month later we are completly potty trained. He still wears a pull up at night, but really doesn't need to. He has woken up dry for almost 15 days now! I was worried about the bowel movements, but after 3 or 4 days he had it down. No accidents in weeks! Here are some pictures of the party.
