I wish I had some pictures, but my camera seems to be lost?!
We went to the Rodeo this weekend. Of course if you asked Robby he says he went to the Radio. Brian, Robby and I had a fun adventure to the Rodeo. Robby wore his cowboy shirt(thanks Grandma Sharon) and his cowboy boots(thanks Grandma Eileen) and his straw cowboy hat. He was too cute! When we first arrived Robby was completely overwhelmed by all the craziness of the carnival. We kept pointing out people flying in the air on rides and Robby kept saying, "I don't want to do that!" But soon he saw all of the nice carnies trying to get us to spend $5 a game to play and win a prize and he was all for that .........unfortunately Brian and I did not have the cash flow to support Robby's dreams of winning a guitar, an Elmo basketball, a giant gingham scooby doo, or a giant ball the size of me. But finally a funnel cake and fresh lemonade appeased him!
Then we went in to watch the rodeo. He was so excited. At the beginning of the Rodeo they have a huge wagon round up thing were all the sponsors of the Rodeo get to ride out and wave. Then there were the fireworks during the Star Spangled Banner(my favorite part.) Robby had never seen fireworks and he started clawing my arm when they went off saying, "They scare me."
Then the horse riding started and Robby would get all worried when the cowboy would be bucked off his horse and lose his hat. He kept calling out, "Don't forget your hat, You left your hat" And then at one point he got so excited when the crowd started cheering that he took his own hat off and started waving it around....Brian and I looked at each other like where did he learn that?
We did not make it through to the concert, Robby had sat still for almost 2 hours. So we went to the livestock part and then to the carnival. Robby rode his first kiddie roller coaster(with me) and went on a giant slide(with Brian.) We then had dinner at the carnival...my second favorite part. We had turkey legs, corndogs, and Robby chose of all things the corn on the cob.
It was a day that I will never forget and I was so happy to spend it with my wonderful husband and my sweet boy!
